Sample Itinerary
Important Arrival Information
Please plan to arrive in Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) at least one day before your flight to the Galápagos Islands.
If you are flying from Guayaquil, I recommend staying at either DC Suites or the Holiday Inn Airport Hotel the night before.
You will need to purchase your Galápagos Transit Control Card ($20) at the airport before your flight and I strongly recommend arriving at the airport at least three hours before departure, as lines can sometimes be quite long. Upon arrival in Galápagos, you will also need to pay the Galápagos National Park entrance fee ($200 per adult).
Please keep your Transit Control Card (the card with the giant tortoise on it) in a safe place throughout your trip, as you will need to show it again before your departure from the islands.
Please let me know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions, food allergies, medical concerns, or religious food requirements. I would also appreciate knowing your shoe size if you plan to rent flippers during the trip.
A Flexible Itinerary Designed Around You
One of the advantages of traveling with me is that this itinerary is not set in stone. It is simply a proposed plan based on what I believe offers the best overall Galápagos experience, but it can be adjusted to suit your interests and preferences.
If there is something you would particularly like to see or do, or if there is an activity that does not interest you as much, I will be happy to make changes whenever possible. Weather conditions, sea conditions, wildlife activity, flight schedules, and personal preferences can all influence the daily program, and I always try to be as flexible as possible.
My priority is for you to have the most enjoyable and memorable experience possible, so please feel free to share any ideas, requests, or questions you may have. Together we can tailor the itinerary to create the Galápagos trip that best suits you.
